Notes

  1. Backsplash should be done after the new uppers are installed. We supplied the backsplash and we are not okay with the prospects of our material getting damaged. We were told that this would be the last step in the process and it doesn't seem right for the sequence to change just to "finish the job" despite the uppers being replaced.

  2. The pantry lowers are exposed with debris under it, such as saw dust and trash. There are four shims on each of three corners, the 4th corner is floating. Some parts are jagged and could cause splinters. This whole wall could be completed pretty fast and allow us to move the fridge back into the kitchen. Right now it's in the living room taking up space. This has been an inconvenience and knowing this could be another 6 weeks minimum seems a bit unreasonable. pantry-shims-1 pantry-shims-2 pantry-shims-3 pantry-floating

  3. There is a support wall on the cabinetry uppers over the fridge. We weren't able to see this in the model design and nothing like this was used for the cabinets that were replaced. This needs to be removed and other forms of reinforcement should be looked into if this is needed for the upper. behind-fridge

  4. The upper here was damaged too. This is hard to see in the photo, but there are two cracks going from one side to another and you can see how the board is flexed outwards. It's being held together by the sticker. above-fridge-damaged

  5. Will the area behind the fridge that had replaced drywall to move the plumbing be painted? What about the ceiling that was also cut into and dinged by the cabinetry installers? behind-fridge ceiling-1 ceiling-2

  6. On the edges of the cabinetry (including the uppers above the fridge) there is exposed particle board. We were under the impression that this would all be finished. The idea that kitchen smells could fume into the the the unfinished parts is not okay with us. We want these edges to be covered to. particle

  7. The corner cabinet to the left of the dishwasher is a few inches from the wall. This is an impossible area to clean. wall-gap

  8. The area where the previous cabinetry was removed was demo'd very roughly and there's still parts of this on the floor. This should be fully removed instead. The rushed work on the demo was very sloppy and we were told all the cleanup would occur later. This is worrying to us because it is very close to the cabinets and we are worried about damaging them when it gets removed. We do not want that part to slip under the rug. Also notice the corner of the cabinet is floating (no shim). floor-1 floor-2

  9. How will the area behind the stove/fridge be sealed since our baseboards were removed when the drywall was fixed? There is a (previously sealed) gap on the bottom of an exterior wall, and a large opening next to the gas line. behind-stove exterior-hole

  10. The screws holding up the cabinets are kind of unsightly. Can these be done more unobtrusively and/or use white fasteners? There are several pictures of your past work on your website where there are no screws visible through the glass. screws-1 screws-2

  11. Lots of things not flush with wall/ceiling (cabinets by sink, cabinets above fridge (see trim along ceiling in second picture)). not-flush-1 not-flush-2

Additionally, the following were previously acknowledged with Curtis:

  2. Mismatched cabinet materials, colors, windows. mismatched
